General Questions

Q: What makes you different from other camps?
A: DistinXion is much more than a sports camp. Your team will be given elite cheerleading training along with character development. In today’s world, a strong sense of character is a rarity. We fully believe that in order to be a champion on the sideline, you must also be a champion off of it. We specialize in elite character development in which we discuss making wise choices, attitude, and respect for self & others. Our staff takes on a family mentality with our campers. We are genuinely interested in investing athletically and personally with your cheerleaders.

Q: How do I bring DistinXion Cheer to my school?
A: Find out more about scheduling a cheer camp on our Cheer Camp page. When you’re ready, visit the Request a Cheerleading Camp page to set up your very own Cheer Camp!

Q: What kinds of camps do you offer?
A: DistinXion Cheerleading offers private camps at your school, stunt clinics, and competition routine evaluations.

Q: Who is your Cheer Staff?
A: Our staff is comprised of current or recent college cheerleaders across the state of Indiana and Ohio. We want you to assure you are receiving the best instructors at your camp. With this experience, our staff will train your team with elite expertise.

Q: Will the Zeller boys be at the camp I’m attending?
A: The Zeller boys do not attend DXN Cheer Camps. Trust us, you don’t want them to be your instructors.

Q: Do you provide lunch, snacks, or drinks?
A: We do provide a lunch break during our camps, but DistinXion does not provide food or drinks for campers. Teams are welcomed to bring their own lunches or coordinate with parent helpers to plan for this part of the day.

Q: Can coaches buy DistinXion t-shirts too?
A: Of course! We think our shirts are pretty awesome too! They are $10 per shirt. Please provide the number of coaches shirts you’d like to order and your sizes on the your camp registration form.

Q: Do you have apparel?
A: Thank you for your interest in wearing DistinXion apparel. We are in the process of creating our online store! We will send an update when our clothing is available.

Q: How can I connect with you?
A: DistinXion would love to hear more from you! You may follow us on any of our social media accounts (Facebook: DistinXion Cheerleading, Twitter: @DistinXionCheer, Instagram: distinxioncheer). If you have any questions or would like to schedule a camp, please email Hope Zeller at hopezeller@distinxion.org.

Q: Is your character curriculum Christian based or secular?
A: Our character sessions can be either Christian-based or secular depending on needs and requests of your squad.

Q: Do I need to provide a way to play music at camp?
A: You do not need a way to play music at camp. We are prepared with a music station for the whole camp with an iPod conversion. Our only request is that there are available outlets in your facility.

Q: How do you collect payment?  Is one payment due for the entire squad or can each individual cheerleader pay DXN separately?
A: One payment is due for the entire squad. Since we work directly with the coach, we won’t have the opportunity to follow up with parents or individuals that pay separately.

Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes, if your school requires proof of insurance we can provide that to you.

Cheerleading Camp Questions

Q: Who is your Cheer Staff?
A: Our staff is comprised of current or recent college cheerleaders across the state of Indiana. We want you to assure you are receiving the best instructors at your camp. With this experience, our staff will train your team with elite expertise.

Q: Which colleges is your staff from?

Q: What safety guidelines do you follow?
A: DistinXion insists on making safety a top priority at camp. We follow the AACCA guidelines.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Squads can cancel at any time 45+ days prior to event.  30-44 days prior to event, squads will owe 25% of the balance due.  29 or less days prior to the event, squads will owe 50% of the balance due.

Q: What if we've submitted our registration form and have a cheerleader cancel?
A: 30 days prior to the event, squads can add to the registration form with no penalty.  If the number of attendants is reduced within 30 days of the event, the squad will be responsible for 50% of the cost of the number of cheerleaders the squad was reduced by.  (For example, if you registered 30 campers, and only 28 attend, the squad will be responsible for half the tuition for the 2 cheerleaders that did not attend.) If the number of cancellations reduces the final number of camp attendants to fall to a lower pricing bracket, the squad will be responsible for paying the new amount per cheerleader.

Q: What if we've submitted our registration form and have to add cheerleaders to the registration?
A: You are welcome to add cheerleaders to your registration at any time.  However, within 30 days of camp, the price per cheerleader will not change in response to the additional cheerleaders, even if the total number of cheerleaders is in a different pricing bracket that was originally given at the time of registration. Cheerleaders that register within 30 days of camp are not guaranteed a T-shirt at camp, and may be asked to pay a shipping fee for T-shirts to be shipped to them.

Q: Will there be a full stunt group at my camp?
A: Yes! You can always expect a full stunt group to be at your camp in order to provide elite instruction.

Q: What if I want different material from the other schools in my conference?
A: DistinXion Cheerleading now offers a customized camp package! We are ready and willing to provide your team with cheers, chants, and dances that only your school will have for the camp season. This will be unique material within your conference. Please specify this request on your camp registration form.

Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes, if your school requires proof of insurance we can provide that to you.
